The joy of blogging in English

I’m from Sweden. If I would write this in Swedish, I’d do it less than half of the time.

When writing in English, I have to stop and think. Look for the right words. Simplify.

It takes time...

And that’s where the joy and beauty comes in.

Why rush? It’s not like it’s an exam with a cut-off date (I had to lookup that expression).

I really enjoy my routine for writing in English. There’s more space, more contemplation, compared to when I write in Swedish. It feels more relaxing, almost meditative.

Also, it’s a fun and rewarding challenge to express something in a simple way. Simple is hard. Like Blaise Pascal once said:

I would have written a shorter letter, but I did not have the time.
