Dare to Dial
I saw a thought-provoking piece of street art on my way home from work. "Ring henne" – Swedish for "Call her."
Why wouldn't we make that call?
If someone asked us, or if we asked ourselves, the answer would probably be, "It's pointless."
But that's not entirely true, is it? We hesitate to call because we fear rejection or feeling inadequate. That's the real reason.
If we could eliminate our self-doubt and anxiety, we would make the call. We’d tell ourselves, "What's the worst that can happen? A no. So what?"
Imagine how many opportunities we miss because of this silly fear. A rejection is just a rejection – life goes on. Next time, it might be a yes.
