Knowember, get to know your blogger

Junited was all about sharing each other's posts. JulyReply got us replying to them. AuguStory gave us the chance to tell the story of our blogs.

Now in November it's time to actually get to know each other, so say hello to Knowember. The idea is simple: one page to let others know a bit more about yourself.

But isn’t that what about pages are for, you ask? Yes, but for Knowember it’s the same set of questions for everyone.

Why? Because it can be quite hard to write about yourself from a blank page, but it's a lot easier to just answer questions. And when everyone answers the same questions, you get this nice little side effect of being able to compare notes, spot your neighboring bloggers, and discover new people to follow along the way.

Knowember will also be a recurring event, with a couple of new questions each year. This adds to the history of your blog, which can be a lovely reminder on days when you feel like hitting the delete button.

Like all of my other blogging events, I want Knowember to feel free from pressure. There’s no need to be clever or complete. Just answer the questions at your own pace and in a way you feel comfortable with.

Questions for Knowember 2026

It’s up to you, of course, what you want to share. Some bloggers want to be anonymous, which is totally fine. The “questions” are more like pointers, giving you room to express them in your own way.

A photo

This can be a photo of you, your hometown, your pet, a drawing that represents you, or a photo that captures something that’s meaningful to you.

Name or nickname

Your name, nickname, handle, or name of your blog. If it’s not your real name, maybe a little background story about why you picked it.

Where in the world you blog from

A continent, a country, a town, or maybe a place that only exists in your heart and mind.

What your blog is mostly about

Some words about the things you often write about. Broad or narrow, long or short, deep or shallow.

How to join

That's it for this first ever Knowember: one photo and three questions. Low pressure, high participation (I hope).

To make it easy, here's a template to copy:

#### A photo
#### Name or nickname
#### Where in the world I blog from
#### What my blog is mostly about

Answer the questions on your own blog, then reach out to me with a link and the name you'd like me to use, and I'll add you to the list below. Join any time in November.

Looking forward to getting to know fellow bloggers a little bit more, wherever you are. Happy blogging!
