The real progress
Yesterday's rambling thoughts about the uncertainty of blogging in English have been expressed several times on this blog. It's easy to think to oneself:
"What the hell, is it always going to be like this? It was the same shit five years ago".
But is that really true?
Five years ago, I would never have dared to have an English blog like this. Three years ago, I would never have dared to post something like this publicly. A year ago, I would have shut this blog down after a month.
Great progress on a personal level.
It's so easy to compare ourselves in a too short perspective and think we are standing still. But when we look up instead of down at yesterday's footprints, we see how far we have actually come on our journey through life.
If the shadow of our former self were to catch up with us, we would think it was a stranger. That's how far we've come. That's the real progress we've made.
Step by step, we can go beyond our wildest dreams. We just have to keep on walking...
