Shortcut for Bear Micro Blog

Statusbear

If you're using Bear Micro Blog and you're in the Apple ecosystem, you might find this new StatusBear shortcut a handy complement.

When viewing a webpage you want to share, simply select 'StatusBear' in the Safari share sheet. This will add the URL and the title of the page to your clipboard, and open the Bear dashboard.

Then, simply paste the content into your post. It will look like this:

[Page Name](www.link-to-page.com):

If you select part of the content from the page you're sharing, the result will look like this:

[Page Name](www.link-to-page.com): Selected text.

If you want the "New post" page to open instead of the dashboard, open the Shortcuts app and click the three dots in the top right corner of the StatusBear shortcut. Then change the "Open" URL at the bottom. Example:

https://bearblog.dev/birming/dashboard/posts/new/

I'm trying to make that last part work from scratch with a shortcut setup, but I haven't quite figured it out yet. I also have plans for some more nifty shortcuts, so stay tuned.

I hope you find StatusBear useful.

Wishing you a great weekend!
