A success story
You know that feeling when you’re faced with a task that seems impossible to go through with. Your whole system is yelling no, but you give it a go anyway.
Most of the time, it’s so much easier than we imagined. The mind resets almost instantly. The impossible turns out to be very much possible.
I often feel that way about writing. My mind tells me that trying to write something is out of the question.
But I sit down anyway, without any idea what to write about. And then it happens. Without searching for something or forcing anything, the mind resets and there’s an opening.
A glimpse of something. A memory, a recent event, something I’ve heard or seen. A seed has been planted.
That’s all it takes for the text to start growing.
A couple of words become a sentence. A couple of sentences become a paragraph. A couple of paragraphs become a blog post.
It might be long or short, good or bad, deep or shallow. That’s not so important. What matters is that things went from impossible to possible.
That’s a success story, even if no one reads it.
