Weighing words

I went to the hospital this week (nothing serious).

The doctor explained the different options. About one of the ones he dismissed, he added:

"I am a specialist in this area. Probably the most experienced person in the building."

There wasn’t the slightest hint of bragging in his tone. No prestige, no arrogance. Just a simple, honest statement.

Very liberating.

How we say what we say is just as important as what we say. We can sound like a salesman, a jerk, or a close friend. All depending on how we choose our words.

Never take speaking lightly.
